BIO
Hello! I am Alex Schutte and have worked at Simplistic Solutions since 2018. I am a teacher, interventionist, dyslexia advocate, and Interventions Director. As the Interventions Director, I coordinate between families and teachers to begin interventions for students.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. I enjoy traveling and a faraway trip to Spain is where I discovered my passion for teaching. After I returned, I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I taught Spanish in Elkhorn from 2015 - 2018 at the elementary and middle school level. To continue my fascination with languages I became a reading interventionist with Simplistic.
I am passionate about reading and teaching because I believe learning new things keeps life interesting. Supporting students with dyslexia has challenged me as an educator. I learn new things to show my students they can read and be successful. My students make me a better teacher. When I am not teaching I am baking with my daughters, skiing with my husband, or running the trails with my dog.
