INTERVENTIONS

WHAT ARE INTERVENTIONS?

As another way of supporting students in achieving their academic goals, we offer private or group intervention services (intense tutoring). Structured Literacy Interventions are an effective solution that provides targeted support, bridges learning gaps, and empowers students to reach their full potential academically. These personalized approaches cater to the specific needs of each student, helping them succeed in their educational journey. We currently use Barton Reading & Spelling, A-Z Reading, Wilson Language, Heggerty, S.P.I.R.E, LIPS, and UFLI as our primary programs. These structured literacy programs are essential for individuals who struggle and are unable to learn to read in the classroom using traditional methods. Our interventions accelerate literacy outcomes for students and align with the science of reading.

GROUP

The Structured Literacy approach is a powerful instructional approach to teaching reading and spelling with these key features

  • Multi-sensory – lessons involve all the major pathways to the brain: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile

  • Sequential – Concepts are taught in a logical, well-planned sequence

  • Incremental – Each lesson carefully builds upon previous lessons

  • Cumulative – Includes constant and consistent review of previously

  • Individualized – The unique needs of every student are met

  • Phonograms – English is simplified by teaching letters and letter combinations known as phonograms

  • Explicit – Students are taught exactly what they need to know in a clear and straightforward fashion
